    The campaign season is upon us, and with that U.S. Congressman Collin Peterson visited with the Red Lake Tribal Council at their regularly scheduled monthly meeting on Tuesday March 13, 2012 to give an update on happenings in Washington D.C. Peterson came at the request of Tribal Secretary Donald Cook, and Red Lake Tribal Treasurer Darrell G. Seki, Sr. during a recent trip to the Nation's capitol.     Testing for Radon During the upcoming months, the Red Lake Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Air Program and the Housing Authority will continue a partnership aimed at improving the indoor air quality of homes. Together, with the help of a US EPA grant, these programs plan to test a total of 50 homes for radon and mitigate those homes that are found to have elevated radon levels. (AP) — The Minnesota State Patrol is planning extra seat belt enforcement next week in the 10 greater Minnesota counties that have seen the highest number of unbelted deaths and injuries. The extra patrols are running from Monday through next Sunday in Cass, Itasca, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Olmsted, St. Louis, Stearns, Renville, Rice and Winona counties.
