The woman said she had been assaulted by her boyfriend Joe Johnson and gave a description of him and the car he left in to deputies. RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) — A western South Dakota woman convicted of killing her husband has been sentenced to 20 years in prison. U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Viken on Friday sentenced Janis to 10 years in prison for second-degree murder and 10 years for firing a gun while committing a violent crime.
