The annual Kelliher School Spelling Bee was held on January 21st. The competition was fierce, as has become a tradition at Kelliher School, with the best spellers from grades 5 through 8 participating for honors. CASS LAKE -- Six people were arrested Friday after a search warrant was executed in Cass Lake and turned up heroin, methamphetamine, prescription pills, marijuana and handguns. A total of 82 grams of heroin, 19 grams of methamphetamine, 99 illegal prescription pills, a small amount of marijuana and two handguns were seized, said the Leech Lake Tribal Police Department, who conducted the search warrant along with multiple agencies.
