Last night the Red Lake Lady Warriors ended their season with 63-45 win over Blackduck in Red Lake. It was also Parent Appreciation Night, and Assistant Coach Jack Desjarlait was presented a plaque and jacket for getting his 300th career win last week. Red Lake finished 14-5 on the season, their best record ever, and are No. 2 seeded in the playoffs scheduled for February 28, 2013 at BSU. The No. 1 seed in the tournament is Clearbrook-Gonvick. WALKER, Minn. (AP) — A northern Minnesota man has pleaded guilty to fatally stabbing another man after an argument at a party last year. Cass County Attorney Christopher Strandlie says 24-year-old Frank Jesse LaRose of Longville pleaded guilty Thursday to second-degree murder. LaRose was accused of stabbing 31-year-old James Elmberg of Walker during a party on Feb. 5, 2012. Prosecutors say LaRose and another person began arguing and Elmberg intervened.
