On December 31, 2013, New Years Eve, the Annual New Years Eve Gathering was held at the Red Lake Humanities Center. Facing -24 F. weather, about 300 people showed up for the event which began with a feast of Red Lake walleye and perch at 5 PM, followed by the pow wow grand entry at 7 pm, with drawings for door prizes, dance and food contests and some great entertainment throughout the night.
