    MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — An apparent overdose is being blamed for the death of a man who lived at the Navigation Center in South Minneapolis. The Navigation Center opened last month and houses people who had been living in a homeless encampment off Hiawatha Avenue.     MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The man who died from an apparent overdose at the city’s new Navigation Center for the homeless has been identified. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner says 47-year-old Todd Leigh Weldon was taken to Hennepin Healthcare Monday just after 4 p.m. He was pronounced dead in the hospital’s emergency room. The official cause of death will be released, pending further investigation....

    A man living at an experimental homeless shelter opened last month by the city and Red Lake Nation died there Sunday night from an apparent opioid overdose. Todd "Julio" Weldon, 47, had been living at the homeless encampment along Franklin and Hiawatha avenues before moving to the nearby "navigation center" shelter, said his fiancee Teresa Graves, who confirmed Weldon's death.
