    An inmate who escaped from custody on Friday has been apprehended. According to the Beltrami County Sheriff Department, Keanu Joseph Major, 22, was taken into custody in St. Cloud on Tuesday evening. On Thursday evening, Major was involved in a fight at the Beltrami County jail and required additional medical attention, according to the Bemidji Police.     The Red Lake Tribal Council has declared a Public Health Emergency on the reservation due to the large-scale trafficking and addiction of illegal drugs.     Bemidji has been ranked as one of the top 30 most dangerous cities in the United States. According to an analysis by The SafeWise Report, the first city on the Mississippi is #28 on the list, which is higher up than last year.   • Convicted Rose Downwind Killer Sentenced

    The convicted killer and ex-boyfriend of Rose Downwind was sentenced in Beltrami County Court today. Marchello Anthony Cimmarusti, 41, will serve 35 years in prison under a plea agreement with the county attorney. Cimmarusti was convicted of 2nd degree murder with aggravating factors that he dismembered and concealed the body.
