    A steady stream of people walking in and out of the Red Lake tribal headquarters today was a sign of success for the Red Lake Political Education Committee. The committee held it's kick off event today to celebrate absentee and early voting at a new satellite polling place on the reservation. The Minnesota legislature approved no-excuse absentee voting in 2013, but Red Lake residents couldn't readily access the service, and many had to drive to Bemidji to visit a polling location.     We have new details about the suspect who died after a high speed chase in Bemidji. The Ramsey County Medical Examiner has identified the suspect as 28-year-old Jared Robert Nash. Nash died as a result of suicide by a single gunshot wound. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating the circumstances leading up to Nash's death.   • BCA Investigates Pursuit, Shooting Incident in Bemidji

    The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating a high speed pursuit and shooting that took place this afternoon in Bemidji. Officials have been attempting to locate the individual involved since last week, and spotted the individual again today north of Bemidji on County Road 23. The suspect was able to elude the trooper, but was spotted once again on Highway 2 in Cass County later in the day. Authorities started to pursue the suspect, reaching speeds over 100 miles an hour.
