Hy-Vee Announces Partnerships with National Online Grocery Delivery Services

Shipt, Instacart join Hy-Vee Aisles Online in providing customers same-day delivery options

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa (July 10, 2018) — Hy-Vee, Inc. announced today that it will partner with two national online grocery delivery services, Instacart and Shipt, to expand Hy-Vee’s delivery footprint and provide new and convenient shopping options to Hy-Vee customers in more than two dozen markets.

“Hy-Vee is excited to provide customers even more same-day delivery options by partnering with these national services,” said Matt Ludwig, Hy-Vee’s chief information officer and executive vice president of e-commerce. “As online grocery marketplaces experience rapid growth, Hy-Vee is matching pace to provide our customers a variety of personalized grocery delivery options.”

Hy-Vee will continue to offer its online shopping experience and wide range of products through its Hy-Vee Aisles Online service, with Instacart and Shipt offering expanded delivery areas and same-day delivery to help even more Hy-Vee customers balance busy lives.

Similar to Hy-Vee Aisles Online, customers who use the delivery services can note their grocery preferences, choose a delivery window and pay for their orders all on the Shipt or Instacart mobile apps or websites.

Hy-Vee is looking forward to launching these exciting partnerships and bringing even more of Hy-Vee’s quality products to customers’ doorsteps, Ludwig said.

“With 245 stores across an eight-state region, Hy-Vee is always looking to meet customers’ needs,” Ludwig said. “Instacart and Shipt were a natural fit as more Hy-Vee shoppers look for same-day delivery options.”
