Elaine Claire (Lussier) Little, 82, of Redby, MN began her journey home Friday, June 22, 2018 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the New Redby Community Center in Redby, MN with Father Jerry Rogers officiating. A wake will begin at 3:00pm, Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at the New Redby Community Center and will continue until the time of the service. Interment will be at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji.

Elaine graced the world on May 31, 1936 in Red Lake, MN, the daughter of Izabelle and Mike Lussier. She was raised and educated in Westend of Red Lake. She married John Little and moved to Chicago. She worked many different jobs in Chicago including Director of the American Indian Center for about 5 years. She was an advocate for the Native American Indians at the Urban League. She also was a Nurse, Head Start Teacher and then her profession as a bus driver started, she began driving bus in Chicago, and later Red Lake, for 48 years, officially retiring in 2017. Her favorite thing was her love for her dogs. She enjoyed passing the time watching Turner Classic Movies, going to the casino and playing bingo.

She is survived by her 3 children, Desi (Jeanice) Little of Puposky, Shelly (King) Little of Redby, and Jay (Meredith) Little of Lyons, IL; 20 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, the great love of her life Husband John C. Little, sons, Scott, Mark and Niles, sisters Flavia Stately, Evon Lussier, son-in-law August "Knotty" King; 3 grandsons, Barry, Jed, and Matt and 2 great granddaughters.

Honorary Casketbearers will be her beloved coworkers of the Red Lake Bus Garage.

Active Casketbearers will be: Raymond Cloud, Johnathon Cloud, Stephen Cloud, Desi "Izzy" Little Jr., Josh Cloud, Barry Cloud, Lestat Cloud, with alternates Pat Defoe and Dallas Little.
