BP: Two suffer minor injuries in six-car accident in Bemidji

NORTHERN TOWNSHIP—Two people were suffered minor injuries Wednesday after a pickup truck rear-ended a line of vehicles stopped at a red light, triggering a six-car accident.

According to a Minnesota State Patrol report, Ervin Blom, 74, of Bemidji, failed to stop his Dodge pickup truck as he approached westbound on U.S. Highway 2 at the Adams Avenue intersection at about 3:41 p.m. Blom hit one of the vehicles stopped there, causing a chain reaction and pushing each vehicle into the one ahead of it, the report said.
