BP: Red Lake man pleads not guilty to shooting charge

BEMIDJI—A Red Lake man charged with assault after an early May shooting pleaded not guilty Monday.

David James Cook, Jr., 21, was charged May 7 with one count of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon causing substantial bodily harm after a man was shot multiple times in the legs at the Elpine Village Mobile Home Park.
