BP: Cass Lake woman pleads not guilty to obstruction in Shank killing

WALKER—A Cass Lake woman accused of obstructing the investigation into the shooting death of Brandi Shank (also known as Brandi Strong) pleaded not guilty to two felony charges Monday.

Sara Renae LaRose, 41, was charged in January with two counts of obstructing an investigation—aiding another who committed second-degree unintentional murder. Court documents say she gave investigators "false or misleading" information about the November killing of Shank, 25.
