Karla Denise DeMarrias age 42, was born May 23rd, 1976 in Minneapolis, MN an enrolled member of Standing Rock Reservation, journeyed to the Spirit World Saturday, June 2nd, 2018. Karla was a veteran of the United States Army, she was a Combat Medic Specialist. She later joined The Army Reserves. Karla was loyal, compassionate and generous. She had an incredible giving spirit. At Karla's request, her organs were generously donated. A flag was flown in her honor over Hennepin County Medical Center at the time of her passing.

She is survived by her mother: Marilyn Adele (Bird Horse); daughters: Alana and Erin; granddaughter: Allorah; Alana's grandmother: Dorla; soulmate: Henry Winter III; siblings: DeVonne Marie, D'Aun Timothy, Trisha Dyanne, Lauren Ruth, Tyrell Seth, Mariah Sage and Tamara Laurelle; beloved cat: KeKe; and a host of cousins and relatives who loved and adored her.

Preceded in death by her father: Timothy George DeMarrias; brother: Tristan William Bird Horse.

The family is grateful to the Hennepin County Medical Center Critical Care Staff, Life Source Team, Chilson Funeral Home, All Saints Episcopal Mission, Fort Snelling Cemetery, friends and family who assited with arrangements.
