Asin Ikwe -Stone Woman, Eagle Clan

Sally Lorraine May-O'Keefe, (Asin Ikwe - Stone Woman), beloved daughter, mother, sister, aunty, friend and wife, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Sanford Hospital in Bemidji, MN due to complications of Lupus.

As a child, Sally was a chatterbox! Full of the latest news from eavesdropping on the adults. She loved to talk and could not be silent for 30 seconds. She was headstrong from the beginning which caused many arguments about wearing a dress to school in -30 weather. Sally claimed to be shy but once she opened up she also opened her heart to you. She was so generous and giving. She loved learning and excelled in High School, receiving Salutatorian honor for graduation.

Sally was a seamstress. She made crib size star quilts for many new babies. She also made beautiful regalia outfits for her children, nieces and nephews. She made beautiful beaded items, earrings, barrettes, and others. She was an avid gardener, winning 3rd place for her beautiful flower beds.

Sally loved to travel also. She loved taking family trips. She enjoyed watching the kids have fun at water parks, exciting rides, photos with sharks or a trip to the cutoff for a day at the beach. She visited many states and had plans to visit Colorado next. She and Jory liked to take the kids to movies, they watched every Marvel movie in 3D as soon as they came out. She was an actress also. When the movie Titanic came out, she memorized the whole movie word for word within a week. She later starred in a film produced by Project Preserve along with her then infant son, Matthew.

She is survived by her parents Earline May and Anthony Garnier, love of her life, Jory Natewa, son, Matthew White, daughters: Annaliece and Athena, sister, Christin (Daniel) May; brothers: Robert D. May and Jessi May-O'Keefe.

Sally was preceded in death by her grandmother, Sally E. Neadeau-May, grandfather, Arnold G. May, her aunt, Gail May, biological father, Donald R. O'Keefe, and her grandmother Lorraine White.
