May 10, 1947 - May 5, 2018
Maree A. Rodwell, age 70, of Ogema, MN, died Saturday, May 5, 2018, at the Mahnomen Health Center Nursing Home, Mahnomen, under Hospice Care of the Red River Valley.
Maree A. Rodwell, mom, was born in Mahnomen, MN, May 10, 1947. Mom was proud to be Native American and equally proud to be a "Texan". One of the traditions of her heritage she enjoyed most was story telling. So, here's her story...
Maree grew up in Mahnomen where she met and married Ronald "Ronnie" Warren and together they had her two beautiful children, Ron and Claudette, whom she adored. Mom moved to Missouri in 1976, then on to Texas in the '80s. She had a deep love and desire to help people, driving her to complete her RN degree in Texas. Mom came from a long line of medical professionals. Her grandfather, Dr. Thomas Rodwell, was a doctor in Mahnomen, her mom, Claudia Rodwell, was a RN, who ran the old Mahnomen Nursing Home, her sister, Bette, and herself. Mom was a RN for about 40 years, serving mostly in Home Health. Mom was licensed in 3 states where she lived.
She loved traveling, going to different casinos with her daughter, and spending time with her family. Mom was best known for her wit, humor, and sense of adventure. She met her two precious loves in Waco, TX, her late husband, Owen Davis, and her current most important love, her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, whose arms she's resting in today!
Maree is survived by her children, Claudette (Mike) Bevins, Ogema, MN, and Ron (Liz) Warren, Bejou, MN; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Bette Rhode, Los Angeles, CA; half-sister, Diane Aasen, Alexandria, MN; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Owen Davis, and brother, Thomas Rodwell III.
Memorial Services will be held Thursday, May 10, 2018, at 6:30 pm at the Claudette
