Red Lake Police Department: More illegal drugs removed from Red Lake

On Friday, March 23, 2018 officers from the Red Lake Drug Task Force served another search warrant at a rural Redby residence for controlled substances. The case was investigated in conjunction with the Headwaters Safe Trails Task Force.

Tribal Task Force officers located over 27 grams of heroin and 180 grams of a unknown cutting agent, methamphetamine, marijuana and prescription pills and seized a total of 2 rifles with one rifle identified as a SKS being fully loaded and 1 stolen pistol. Items were also present that were consistent with drug sales including drug paraphernalia and over 6,500 cash was confiscated. Children were also found at the residence and placed on 72 hour holds.

A total of 6 individuals were arrested with two of the individuals being non-Indian and 4 being tribal members. The tribal members were transported to the Red Lake Detention Center and the non-Indians were transported to the Beltrami County jail.

The 4 arrested tribal members all face the following tribal charges; unlawful sale of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, child endangerment and child neglect and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Daniel Joseph Lyons Age, 37 also faces disorderly house and possession of stolen property.

Patrick Randy Desjarlait Age, 29 also had a outstanding Tribal Warrant.

Kara Marie Lussier Age, 32 also had a outstanding Tribal Warrant.

Naydene Kay Kingbird Age, 31

The two non-Indians were identified as Russell Kazell Reed Jr., age 23 and Iyanna Rose-Lee King, age 20 and face the following charges in Beltrami County;

Charges: Iyanna King- Gross Misdemeanor-Endangerment of Child by Firearm Access
