2018 Sundance Institute Native Filmmakers Lab Fellowship Application Period open Through Sunday, March 25, 2018

Monday, March 19, 2018 — Applications are now being accepted for the “2018 Sundance Institute Native Filmmakers Lab Fellowship.” The fellowship is aimed at supporting the production of fiction short films through a residential lab, grants and a mentorship. The goal of this fellowship and lab is to provide first- or second-time directors with funding and guidance as they direct a short film.

The Sundance Institute Native American and Indigenous Film Program is currently seeking U.S.-based Native American, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian filmmakers with short film screenplays that are no longer than 15 pages to consider for this fellowship. Projects will be reviewed and selected based on their originality of voice and vision, and the likelihood of being produced in 2018.

The application period closes Sunday, March 25, 2018. For more information and to apply, visit http://www.sundance.org or call (310) 360-1981 and ask for the Native Program.
