Mother confirms missing Red Lake Minnesota woman found dead

BELTRAMI COUNTY, Minn. (Valley News Live) - A tragic turn of events as the mother of 27-year-old Amy Dow confirms to Valley News Live, her daughter was found dead Monday afternoon.

Dow's mother tells Valley News Live the family found her daughter's body in an area they had already searched.

Police are calling it an unattended death investigation until an autopsy reveals more information from the medical examiner's office.

The FBI had been requesting the public's assistance in locating the woman.

Dow was last seen leaving her home in Ponemah, Minnesota, on January 27.

Any information should be directed to the FBI or Red Lake Police Department.

Police say there is no danger to the public.
