RED LAKE - The Red Lake Warriors (12-13) hosted the Nevis Tigers (21-5) on Friday, March 2, 2018. The last time they had played, Nevis won 91-63 at Nevis.

Both teams came out and the lead changed several times, until Nevis, with the height advantage, took control and led 38-23 at the half.

Red Lake kept edging closer in the second half, and at the 3 minute mark, Nevis went into a stall and kept the ball away from the Warriors. Red Lake had opportunities to cut into the lead a couple of times, but their baskets just wouldn't fall. Nevis held on to win, 58-44.

Kaden Kramer led the Tigers with 15 points, Jack Landquist added 12 and Mike Landquist hit for 11.

Andre Harrison led the Warriors with 16 points, Cole Spears had 9, D. J. Holthusen was held to 6 and Kendall Whitefeather, who didn't play until about the 10 minute mark of the second half, put in 5.

It was also Parent Appreciation Night for the Warriors, where fans were appreciated and Whitefeather was acknowledged for hitting his 1000th career point and scoring a record 52 points in the game against Mahnomen on February 12th. Red Lake lost that game 110-91.
