...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO NOON CST TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Snow and blowing snow expected. Widespread total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches are expected. Highest amounts

across the Tri-State region into the Fergus Falls and Park Rapids Corridor where 6 inches is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, north central, northwest and west central Minnesota and southeast North Dakota.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to noon CST Tuesday with the highest snowfall rates from midnight to 6am Tuesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions, including during the morning commute on Tuesday. In addition, some reductions to visibility are likely. Winds gusting as high as 30 mph will cause patchy blowing and drifting snow. The cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
