Where can students go if St. Paul teachers strike? School district and union are working on it

St. Paul teachers and school district officials are readying safe places for the district’s 38,400 students to go next week in the event of a labor strike.

Negotiators plan to meet over the weekend in hopes of reaching labor deals for the district’s teachers and two other bargaining units. Should they fail, the St. Paul Federation of Teachers says it will strike Tuesday for the first time since 1946.
