Students from Minnesota's Red Lake Reservation perform at early Super Bowl festivities

MINNEAPOLIS-Thousands have made the snowy trip from Fargo to downtown Minneapolis and are already getting ready for the big game.

We are less than 24 hours from the Eagles and Patriots taking center stage and on Saturday night some local elementary students took center stage at Super Bowl 52.

The sounds of Native American culture took over the Nicollet Mall.

An experience of a lifetime for these elementary students from the Red Lake Reservation.

"We got to show off our moves and stuff," said Elvis King, Third Grader.

They performed in front of hundreds of spectators.

"I like and singing and dancing," said Carl Taylor, Student.

Asked by the host committee to help bring some culture to the Super Bowl Experience.

"I like to get the kids very involved in other cultures and want to make sure they go out and represent who we are on the inside and outside," said Melodie Kingbird, Instructor.

While most of these kids have been dancing their entire lives they admit it was a little intimidating.

All in all, trip of a lifetime for some elementary students and a chance to show off their culture.

"Its fun playing the games and stuff and seeing what everyone else is doing like what type of festivities they put on here," said Taylor.

Only a select few performers from the school were picked for the trip.

Out of 120 only two dozen were selected.
