Desjarlait hits 35 on the night and 2000 career points in 97-77 win over Kelliher-Northome - Set 2

RED LAKE - Red Lake's Senior Alexis Desjarlait needed 35 points to hit her 2000th career point, and did exactly that on Thursday, January 18, 2018 in the Lady Warriors 97-77 win over the Kelliher-Northome Mustangs. That 2000th point came on a freethrow with just minutes left on the scoreboard.

Kelliher-Northome scored first in the game and led 2-0, but that was the only time they would lead, as Red Lake led at the half 54-32.

The Lady Warriors scored 43 more in the second half to seal the win, 97-77.

Alexis Desjarlait led all scorers with 35 points, Autumn Holthusen hit for 19, Angel McClain had 16 points and Gericka Kingbird and Kelanna McClain each put in 9.

Lechan Wagner led the Mustangs with 27, Kylie Owen added 17 and Destiny Heck put in 11.

The win put the Lady Warriors at 15-2 on the season and will host travel to Nevis on January 23, travel to Blackduck on the 26th and host Win-E-Mac on February 5th.

On Tuesday, January 16th they traveled to Lake of the Woods and led 36-14 at the half, going on to win 69-34.

Autumn Holthusen and Alexis Desjarlait each had 17 points, Gericka Kingbird 15 and Angel McClain 14.
