Young woman's body found in Cass Lake, Minnesota

CASS LAKE, Minn. (Valley News Live) - The Cass County Sheriff's Office in Minnesota reports a juvenile female's body was found Friday, January 12th.

Cass County Sheriff Tom Burch reports that on January 12, 2017 at 8:09 AM, the Cass County Sheriff's Office received a report of a found body in the City of Cass Lake.

Officers responded and found a deceased juvenile female.

An autopsy was scheduled and the incident remains under investigation by the Cass County Sheriff's Office with the assistance of the Leech Lake Tribal Police Department.

Officials say there is no threat to public safety in relation to this incident.

Officials are not releasing any more information pending final

autopsy results.
