#3 Ranked Mountain-Iron-Buhl too much for Lady Warriors in 82-66 loss on Saturday - P10

RED LAKE, MN - The Lady Warriors hosted Mountain-Iron-Buhl on Saturday, January 6, 2018, and they looked good in the first half, leading 20-9 at the 9:55 mark.

But MIB kept clawing back and at the 3:05 mark, overtook the Warriors to lead 30-27, and at the end of the half led 43-32.

The Lady Warriors were outscored in the second half 39-34, but MIB's defense held on to win 82-66.

The win for Mountain-Iron-Buhl was their 12th on the season, as they are now 12-1, only losing to Roseau.

Red Lake drops to 11-2 on the year, but still lead in the Northland Conference.

MIB's Mary Burke led all scorers with 34 points on the afternoon, with Allie Negen netting 18 and Madison Overbye adding 12.

Alexis Desjarlait led the Warriors with 24 points, followed by Autumn Holthusen with 17, Gericka Kingbird had 7 and Angel McClain and Lashawn Roy each put in 6.

Red Lake travels to Osseo on January 13th, will play in the MLK Classic on January 15th and travel to Lake of the Woods on January 16th.

The Lady Warrior JV also lost to MIB 51-18 in the early game.
