Charges: Woman used promise of ginseng riches to bilk $450K from Hmong community

A former Brooklyn Center woman is accused of offering friends and acquaintances a chance to make a hefty profit by investing in a Wisconsin ginseng farm.

She then used their investments to pay for her gambling habit, according to a criminal complaint filed in Hennepin County District Court.
