This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of eastern North Dakota, west central and northwest Minnesota.

DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

The potential exists for freezing rain across much of the region late this evening into the overnight hours. Icy roads and hazardous travel will be the main impacts where road temperatures remain below freezing. The coverage and magnitude of these impacts is still uncertain.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Strong north winds, with gusts up to 40 mph, will follow the passage of a cold front Wednesday morning. These strong winds will diminish Wednesday afternoon. The potential also exists for freezing rain yet early Wednesday morning, before changing over to snow showers. Any stronger snow showers combined with the winds may limit visibility.

The active weather pattern continues Thursday and into the weekend with additional chances for wintry weather. There is a lot of uncertainty with the details of each event. A couple of these systems could produce several inches of snowfall.
