After loss, Vikings insist 'the ship's not sinking'

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — After having their eight-game winning streak snapped Sunday, the Vikings appropriately enough turned to maritime references.

The Vikings (10-3) could have clinched the NFC North and taken another step toward securing homefield advantage in the playoffs. They did neither after losing 31-24 to Carolina at Bank of America Stadium.
