Native youth leadership and advocacy training focus at 2018 UNITY Midyear Conference

Mesa, Arizona - October 26, 2017 - Native youth are you ready for leadership and advocacy training? If the answer is yes, please plan to attend the 2018 UNITY Midyear Conference during your winter holiday break from January 2 - 5, 2018 at the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel and Conference Center in Tempe, Arizona! Participants are guaranteed four days of personal growth and advocacy training activities. Be prepared to help find solutions to problems within your communities.

The UNITY Midyear Conference will engage Native youth in purposeful training and activities designed to promote youth-led advocacy efforts by using methods that produce results respectful of tribal cultures. As is tradition, UNITY’s top-notch trainers will lead discussion tracks and hands-on training. UNITY youth leaders will serve as peer leaders including UNITY’s National UNITY Council Executive Committee and UNITY Earth Ambassadors who will facilitate sessions, serve as speakers and lead workshops. Conference highlights include Speed workshops, Cultural Night and a mock Mr. and Miss UNITY pageant.

For more than 41 years the National UNITY Conference has brought Native Youth Leaders to cities across the United States to participate in a drug and alcohol-free setting.
