2018 Minnesota Organic Conference Announced

Early Bird Trade Show, Sponsorship Pricing Ends Friday, October 20

St. Paul, MN - The Minnesota Department of Agriculture’s (MDA’s) Minnesota Organic Conference (MOC) will take place on Thursday and Friday, January 11 and 12, 2018. The farmer-oriented educational event will be held at the River’s Edge Convention Center in St. Cloud and is expected to attract 600 attendees.

The MDA is now accepting sponsorships and applications to exhibit at the trade show.

“I encourage people to purchase their spaces early,” said MOC Sponsorship and Trade Show Coordinator Cassie Dahl. “We have space for about 80 booths at the trade show and those spaces have sold out for the past few years. The trade show is a great way for organizations that work with organic farmers to interact with those farmers directly.”

Dahl encourages any organizations with products or services of interest to organic farmers to reserve space, including suppliers of inputs like seed and fertilizer, brokers, buyers, consultants, organic certification agencies, public agencies, and educational and nonprofit organizations.

Other opportunities include underwriting the conference with financial sponsorship and advertising in the MOC program.

The MDA has coordinated the MOC for the past 15 years. Dahl notes that there are over 900 organic operations in Minnesota, and that domestic and international consumer interest in organic agricultural products continues to grow.
