Governor's Residence to be lit blue to honor victims of Mogadishu attack

To honor those wounded and killed in the bomb attack in Mogadishu, Somalia, last week, Gov. Mark Dayton has ordered the Governor’s Residence to be lit blue Tuesday night to reflect the flag of Somalia.

“Over 500 people have been killed or wounded in this terrible attack on innocent people in Mogadishu, many of whom have friends and family in Minnesota,” Dayton said in a prepared statement announcing plans to illuminate the St. Paul mansion. “On behalf of all Minnesotans, we join those mourning the senseless loss of loved ones and those praying for recovery.
