DESK SPECIALIST
(MARS Medication Assisted Recovery Services)
CHEMICAL HEALTH PROGRAMS

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Responsible for managing the front office of a busy clinic; arranging transportation, welcoming patients to the clinic, checking people in for their appointments, notifying safety concerns to security, among other administrative tasks. Reports to Clinic Supervisor, full-time with benefits, salary; DOQ.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Greets patients and visitors to the clinic
• Maintains a welcoming and hospitable clinic environment
• Coordinates transportation for patients
• Manages clinic flow to ensure orderly and efficient medication administration
• Reports all security and safety concerns to appropriate staff
• Assists clinical and medical staff during the patient admission process
• Answers telephone and routes calls to appropriate personnel. Manages a phone log and ensures callers receive a timely response
• Reports all medical concerns immediately to nursing personnel to maintain client safety
• Maintains client confidentiality according to federal rules, regulations and tribal guidelines
• Maintains the general office filing system
• Purchases and inventories office supplies. Prepares purchase orders for payment of invoices
• Ensures the front office is staffed at all times. Coordinates front desk coverage for days of clinic operation
• Arranges meetings and employee travel for staff
• Participates in ongoing training and professional development
• Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
• GED/High School Diploma
• One (1) year related experience and/or training
• Possess a valid driver's license and automobile insurance
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office programs
• Must be able to type neatly with accuracy of letters, memorandums, correspondence, and other materials
• Must be a team player, dependable, and work well in a busy/stressful clinic environment
• Employment contingent upon successfully passing Pre-Employment Drug/Alcohol Test and Background Check
