The Better Business Bureau of Minnesota and North Dakota on Wednesday warned consumers to beware of hurricane-damaged vehicles that may soon be on the market in the Midwest.
While these vehicles are often restored before being sold, a salvage title denotes whether the vehicle has been damaged or deemed a total loss by an insurance company that paid a claim on it, the BBB said in a news release. These vehicles may be cheap, but they are often difficult to resell and insure.
