Davis Wayne Rosebear, Sr., "Medweshkang" which means "The One Who's Heard Walking" age 28, of the Bear Clan and Red Lake, Minnesota began his spiritual journey on Thursday, August 3, 2017 from Red Lake, MN. Davis was born on April 13, 1989 in Bemidji, MN, the son of Cora Rosebear and Maynard Cloud, Sr.

Davis was an awesome son, grandson, brother and nephew to many. He has a big family that is so proud of him and all of his accomplishments. Davis was a great father who took very good care of his three beautiful babies, Chloe, Davis Jr. and Madison, he would do anything for his children. He was a loving fiancé to Raven. He was an avid sportsman and outdoorsman who loved fishing, which he worked so hard at. Davis was a guide, with his brother Daris, and made many friends during his guiding service. He was very helpful to many. Davis enjoyed spending time with his grandmother Karen and grandfather David and the rest of his family and friends.

Those Davis is welcomed to the spirit world by are his great grandpa; Herbert "Zemo" May, his great grandma; Melinda May, great aunts; Marilyn, Gloria and Roxanne May, great grandparents; Frank and Margaret Rosebear, Robert and Alma Iceman, paternal grandma; Darlene Cloud and several other relatives.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother; Cora (Dan) Rosebear-Charnoski of Red Lake, father; Maynard (Dana Hughes) Cloud, Sr. of Bemidji, his children; Chloe, Davis Jr. and Madison Rosebear all of Red Lake, his fiancé; Raven Hardy of Red Lake, brothers; David Rosebear, Jr. of Ponemah, Chad Rosebear and Daris (Shauna Stately) Rosebear both of Red Lake, Maynard Cloud, Jr of Red Lake and Brent Cloud of Bemidji, sisters; Keishaun and Geralynn Jourdain both of Red Lake, Amber Cloud of Ponemah, maternal grandparents; Karen May of Red Lake and David (Andrea) Rosebear, Sr. of Ponemah, paternal grandfather; Russell Cloud, Sr., aunties; Carol May, Ruth Whitefeather, Laurie, Diana and Thelma May, Shirley and Rose Rosebear, uncle; William "Bill" May, Sr., Herb May and Myron Kingbird, Sr., special sisters; Crystal Raincloud, Dell M. Johnson, Denise and Dawn Rosebear, special brother; Corey May, Sr., nieces; Larissa, Kaissee and Starlee Oakgrove and Shanise Rosebear-DeFoe, nephews; Michael and David Seki, cousins and many friends.

A wake for Davis will begin at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, August 6th and continue until his 11:00 a.m. traditional service on Tuesday, August 8th all being held at the Boys and Girls Club in Ponemah, MN. Zac Mitteness will be his Spiritual Advisor, Ty Stately, David Manuel and Ben Bonga will be assistant advisors. Pallbearers for Davis will be Corey May, Sr., Gary Martin, Jr., Corey Whitefeather, Jr., Rain Stately, Robert "Billy Bob" Lussier and Brian "Pun" Sumner. Alternate pallbearers are William A. May, Jr. and Barry Oakgrove, Jr. His honorary pallbearers are David Rosebear, Jr., Chad Rosebear, Daris Rosebear, Shauna Stately, Maynard Cloud, Jr., Roy White, Jr., Crystal Raincloud, Keishaun Jourdain, Geralynn Jourdain, Dell M. Johnson, Dawn Rosebear, Denise Rosebear, Jacob Kingbird, Meredith Kingbird, Jr., Russell Cloud, Jr., William May, Sr., Thelma May, Carol May, Herb May, Laurie May, Diana May, Sharon Cloud Jones, Janet Cloud, Melissa Cloud, all his nieces, nephews and cousins and his softball teammates. Interment will be at the Family Burial Grounds in Ponemah, MN following his Tuesday service.
