Thursday, July 27th 2:00 – 3:30 PM

Location: Rail River Folk School – 303 Railroad St SW Bemidji, MN (over the high bridge, then take 1st left down to the end)

Families please join us at Rail River Folk School to participate in creating a native plantscape for birds, bees, and butterflies. The Mississippi Headwaters Audubon Society in collaboration with Apple Blossom Village will help all ages take part in the planting of native wildflowers, story-telling, and the building of your very own chord-wood 'bee-house.' A special event will include a children's painting project, music, and a fun snack. The Audubon Society will share information about preparing an urban site before planting wildflowers, tips on planting, and how native plants benefit birds, bees, and other pollinators. Participants will be able to take home free seeds of native plants for their own backyards!

In case of a rain that "just won't quit," this event will be held Saturday, July 29th 3:00 - 4:30 pm. The event will be held if forecast indicates only intermittent raining.
