Woman's alcohol-related crash death in Sheridan County is first since Whiteclay beer stores closed

LINCOLN — A 49-year-old woman died as the result of an alcohol-related crash in Sheridan County earlier this month. It was the first such death in the county since the Whiteclay, Nebraska, beer stores were closed.

The local sheriff, however, says that such crashes, on the whole, have not increased as he had expected.
