SPEEDWAY: Racing not dampened by morning rain

BEMIDJI -- Morning showers didn’t stop Bemidji Speedway from putting on a great show for the fans Sunday night. Track workers and drivers worked extensively on the track prior to racing and again during intermission to make the track race-ready.

And two drivers were especially happy. Winning for the first time ever were Wissota Pure Stock driver Jamie Chlebecek and Wissota Super Stock driver Harley Kroening. Also winning for the first time this summer were Gary James Nelson in the Wissota Midwest Modifieds and 13-year-old Taton Hansen in the Outlaw Mini Mods.
