Bemidji Pioneer: Beltrami Commissioners opt to administer buffer law program

BEMIDJI—The Beltrami County Board of Commissioners approved a resolution Tuesday to have staff administer new state buffer laws.

According to county documents, the buffer law will take effect on Nov. 1, 2017 for parcels of land abutting public waters and on Nov. 1, 2018 for parcels abutting public ditches. Once those dates pass and a property is not in compliance, enforcement will be needed.
