The Ride for the Homeless, Sunday June 18th

The public is invited to participate in The Ride for the Homeless, Sunday June 18th, at The Wolfe located at 522 America Avenue, Bemidji. The Wolfe, an overnight shelter for homeless men and women with chronic substance use issues, is operated by the Nameless Coalition for the Homeless. The Wolfe is open from October through April, 8pm to 8am, and has provided over 2000 overnight stays since opening in February, 2016.

Registration for motorcycle riders begins at 10:15am – with no fee required - with coffee and donuts provided, and followed by a blessing of The Wolfe and the bikes. Bikes will line up by 11:00am, with inspections and rider safety meeting to follow. All motorcycles must be in good riding condition or they won’t be allowed to participate. Free will offerings will be accepted. The ride will begin at noon, and upon completion, live music by local bands will begin at 2pm.

Community members interested in supporting the operation of The Wolfe for the next winter season are invited to make a tax-deductible donation to The Nameless Coalition for the Homeless online at nwmf.org, or on the Coalition’s Facebook page, by clicking the “Shop Now” button.
