Bemidji Pioneer: Bemidji man sentenced for embezzlement

BEMIDJI—A Bemidji man who stole more than $200,000 from his former employer will spend three years and six months in prison.

Thomas Kaplan, 61, was charged in 2015 with one count of theft by swindle. Kaplan pleaded not guilty to the charge in May, but pleaded guilty in March to one count of theft by diverting corporate property.
