Onen Markeson and Henry Beauduy are volunteer Master Gardeners in Beltrami County. They would like to share their experience and knowledge about several topics.Henry will discuss soil preparation and amendments in relatively sandy soil, including options of fish byproducts and peat. They will also discuss ways to reduce the need for use of chemicals by prevention instead of treatment. Onen will present information on growing fruits such as service berries (Saskatoon Berries) that are native to the area, and do well even in relatively sandy soils. Onen will also discuss growing several vegetable crops that generally grow well in our cool climate, including beets, carrots,
