FAMILY DRUG COURT CLERK OF COURT

RED LAKE NATION TRIBAL COURT

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

To be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the Court Administration are operating effectively and efficiently; thus allowing the Judges to devote their time to the administration of Justice. Reports to Court Administrator; full-time position w/benefits, salary; DOQ.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for clerical assistance for Family Drug Court; data entry weekly into the electronic data/records management system

• Enter client information; service provider information/document gathering/processing

• Responsible for distribution of records to the appropriate Family Drug Court Personnel

• Provides reports(s) to Prosecution Division for complaint drafting and submission to the Family Drug Court for docket entry and hearing preparation

• Enters dispositional information into the data base and paper format for the case file

• Responsible for the organization of all Family Drug Court Case Files ensuring uniformity and conformity with the file maintenance protocol of the Family Drug Court

• Acts as a receptionist and routes calls to the appropriate Family Drug Court Personnel

• Greets and assists the public regarding inquiries involving Court business

• Arranges courtroom for hearings, trials and/or meetings

• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Three (3) months related experience and/or training

• Knowledge and skill in the use of standard office equipment

• Knowledge in the use of computers and computer software programs

• Excellent communication and verbal skills

• Possess excellent organizational skill in the handling of multiple tasks

• Ability to ability to work without close supervision and work collaboratively with other employees, programs and public

• Must be able to handle stressful situations in a professional manner

• Must adhere to and have knowledge of the Data Privacy Act

• Be of high moral character and integrity

• Employment is contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug test and background check with no felony convictions
