Red Lake set for state debut

RED LAKE -- The Red Lake High School girls basketball team will enter unfamiliar territory this afternoon. The unseeded Warriors (24-2) will make their Class A state tournament debut when they meet No. 3-seeded Cromwell-Wright (25-4) in today’s quarterfinals at 5 p.m. inside Mariucci Arena in Minneapolis.

“Everyone’s proud of us and I’m proud of my team myself because we worked so hard during practices, during games, even when we’re just working in the school,” sophomore guard Angel McClain said. “We worked really hard to get his far and we’re not gonna stop.”
