Trevor Alan Johnson, age 23, of Ponemah and the Bear Clan began his spiritual journey on Monday, March 6, 2017 from the Red Lake IHS Hospital in Red Lake, Minnesota.  Trevor began his earthly journey on June 9, 1993 in Bemidji, MN.  He was born the son of Shannon Johnson and Bruce Stillday, Jr.

Trevor grew up in Ponemah and attended Kelliher Public Schools, graduating in 2011.  Since graduation, he has worked at the Seven Clans Red Lake Casino and was a Processor for the Red Lake Fisheries.  Trevor loved to hang out with his family and friends.  He was quite the character who always had a smile on his face and was always making others smile.  Trevor liked playing sports and being outdoors.  He liked football, basketball, golf, fishing, bowling and was a member of the Ponemah Chiefs Softball Team.  His smiling face will be forever missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Family welcoming Trevor to the spirit world are his grandparents; Bruce Stillday, Sr. and Cheryle Stillday Cloud, great grandparents; Marcel and Jane Johnson, Sr. and Hilma Cloud, and an aunt; Judy Greenleaf.

He leaves behind his parents; Bruce Stillday, Jr. and Shannon Johnson of Ponemah, his wiijiiwaagan; Brittany Kingbird of Ponemah, brothers; Matthew (Sabrina) Johnson and Todd Stillday both of Ponemah, sister; Secora Johnson of Ponemah, niece; Cherlene Johnson, special brother; Malcolm Stillday, special sisters; Ashley and Tiffany Stillday and Cynthia Nelson, grandparents; Gary Nelson, Sr. and Beverly Johnson, aunts; Beverly Cloud, Lois Johnson and Georgianna Ogema, special aunt; Elva Stillday, uncles; Wilbur Stillday, Thomas Johnson, Tony Nelson, Gary Nelson, Jr., Gary James Nelson, Marcel Johnson, Jr., Garrett Nelson and Loren Stillday, the Northbird Family of Cass Lake, other relatives and many special friends.

A wake for Trevor will begin at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 9th and continue until his 10:00 a.m. traditional service on Saturday, March 11th all being held at the Boys and Girls Club in Ponemah, MN.  Steve Jackson will be his spiritual advisor.  Pallbearers for Trevor will be Challenge Johnson, Gary Johnson, Aaron Jones, Michael Nelson, Jerrell Martin, Gary Nelson, Jr., Garrett Nelson and Jesse Jensen.  Alternate pallbearers are Alvin Johnson, Jr. and Joseph Ogema.  His honorary pallbearers are the Ponemah Chiefs Softball Team, Kyle Erickson, Brandon Strong, Harley Johnson, Joey Johnson, Stephen Johnson, Starlee Oakgrove, Celeste Thomas, Dell Perkins, Lynelle Nelson, Pete McKenzie, Ray Adams and all his family and friends.  Interment will be in the Stillday Family Burial Grounds at Ponemah following his Saturday service.
