Winter Coat Distribution for Red Lake Kindergarten Students

On Thursday, January 5th, 2017, Adam Graves from the Minneapolis Fire Department delivered 190 winter coats for kindergarteners at both the Early Childhood Center and Ponemah Elementary.

Operation Warm, through the Twin Cities Firefighters, organizes major fund raisers throughout the year to fund winter coats for needy students in various MN school districts.

Chris Jourdain from Comp Health has helped organize this event, now in its third year, along with local help from Harold Graves, Starr Kingbird and Dale Graves.

Kindergarten students made large thank you posters along with a heartfelt eagle feather that will be proudly displayed at the fire houses supportive of local firefighter efforts.
