JPB greenlights two Bemidji business projects

BEMIDJI—The Greater Bemidji Area Joint Planning Board approved a pair of resolutions Wednesday related to two construction projects.

The first approval was in response to an application from Bemidji Motel, LLP, the owner of the former Four Point Grille and Bar. According to Greater Bemidji Planning Director Casey Mai, the owner's request was to demolish the building and rebuild a smaller structure to house a drive-thru restaurant.

Mai said the new building will be 2,200 square feet, a reduction in size from the current structure at 5,800 square feet. During a discussion on the topic, Mai said the board brought up questions related to the traffic, as the area can become congested.
