Gerald "Jerry" Duane Morrow, 61 years old, of North Branch, Minnesota began his journey to the spirit world on November 30, 2016 from the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Jerry was born on November 26, 1955 in Cass Lake, MN the son of Max and Gladys Jane (Cloud) Morrow, Sr.

Jerry grew up in a foster family home and worked on their dairy farm. He attended school in Pine River, graduating in 1974. Jerry excelled in football. He made the WCCO Team of the Week a few times and also the Team of the Year once. He earned a few dollars helping neighbors in and around Bungo Township, picking rocks off fields, bailing hay and harvesting crops. After high school Jerry attended welding school in Minneapolis. He worked for Home and Hearth Fireplaces and for Metro Paper for many years but enjoyed his cleaning job at the 24 Bar on Hennepin Avenue. Jerry moved out to Sunrise, MN with Ken and Amy Ries. He spent more than 25 years on their farm. The farm was his delight and he loved the Ries family like his own. His greatest joy was keeping cats. His last two remain in Ken and Amy's care. Amigo and Emily were his "kids". Susie, a stray cat that Jerry was adopting, meant the world to him. Jerry loved to go fishing and took Matthew several times. He spent time with Carlotta's family. The more he visited the more his nieces became accustom to his size and his hairy appearance. Jerry loved football, especially the Vikings and many other sports. He was extremely versed on a lot of subjects, such as sports statistics. Jerry and Teddie enjoyed riding into the woods looking at nature and hunting "Big Foot". He liked going to the casino and recently won $2000., all of which he donated to a young native family that was passing by. Jerry's was very loved by his family, his co-workers, his farm family and his beloved furry "kids".

Jerry is being welcomed home by his Mom; Gladys (Cloud) Morrow, brothers; Reuben and Darrel Morrow and Raymond Cloud, aunties; Josephine Morgan and Maggie Garbow, uncles; David Morgan, Silas Cloud, Harrison Cloud, Mike Cloud and Ernest Cloud, nephew; Baby Croaker, cousin; Karin Morgan and many other relatives.

Those he leaves behind are his Dad; Max Morrow of Bemidji, brothers; Glen Joe Cloud, Max Morrow, Jr. and Ken Morrow of Minneapolis, sister; Theodora "Teddie" Redwing of Cass Lake, aunties; Leona Shaugobay and Janice Morrow, uncle; Jack Morrow, Nieces; Maxina Devork, Carlotta Redwing, Kari and Lisa Cloud, nephews; Matthew Wing, Eric Cloud and Doug Cloud, Jr., cousins; Pat, Dawn, Clyde, Kerry, David and Doreen, numerous other great nieces, one great nephew and other family members.

An overnight wake for Jerry will begin at 4:00 p.m., December 2nd and continue until his 10:00 a.m. service on Saturday, December 3rd all being held at the David Morgan Community Center in Bena. Father George Ross will officiate. Pallbearers for Jerry are Clifford Croaker, Sr., Matthew Wing, David Morgan, Jr., Clyde Morgan, Kerry Morgan and Dave Bismarck. Honorary pallbearers are Ken Ries, his friends at Metro Paper and all his friends from the farm. Inurnment will be in Lakeview Cemetery at Bena at a later date.

Jerry's family would like to thank Father Ross and the Ojibwe Singers for their time and help.
