Blackduck, K-N, CL-B lose in 8A playoffs

BLACKDUCK—The Blackduck High School volleyball season came to a bitter end against Red Lake County Central Thursday night.

The fifth-seeded Mustangs swept the fourth-seeded Drakes 30-28, 25-20, 25-17 in Sub-Section 8A East quarterfinal action.

"It's tough when you're going into the playoffs and you get a little bit intimidated," Blackduck head coach Cherry Brands said after the game. "They're still a young team and they just have to believe in themselves."
