North camp cleared

Morton County Sheriff Kyle Kirchmeier has declared the north camp cleared of protesters and Gov. Jack Dalrymple said progress has been made.

"We are not leaving the area. We are holding it," Kirchmeier said.

"We are continuing to clear Highway 1806," said Kirchmeier, adding that most protesters are returning to the main camp but arrests are ongoing.
